Even before the formation of Kerala, under the leadership of Shri Narayanan Vadhyar, the public cemetery known as Mokshakavadam, which operates under the ownership of SNDP branches in Thottam and Kamaleshwaram Vaduvothu, was established with Muttathara region as the center.

The services (funeral materials, workers, ambulance, etc.) offered at affordable rates, but also the administrative or office-related tasks (like paperwork, transactions, etc.) are being streamlined and digitized through computerization to improve efficiency and ease.

When members of the community and non-members pass away, facilities for cremating the bodies are provided at Mokshakavadam. The crematorium committee ensures that the necessary services are provided in an efficient manner to those who arrive in grief due to the death.

Earlier, the body was cremated using logs and bricks, but now, facilities have been made available to perform the entire process using only wood. Furthermore, facilities are now available here to conduct the funeral rites in an environmentally friendly manner, utilizing natural resources like air.
